We should notice her attractive hair dress and simple style of clothing. The Revolution had liberated fashion too, the days of formal and uncomfortable dressing were over (for the time being at least).
More adventurous spirits, like Thérésa Tallien favoured an even more radical fashion à la Grecque: simple white cotton dress-robes, showing a lot of leg or even more. And a hairstyle that placed fantasy above jewellery. As Talleyrand commented on Mdm. Tallien: “It is not possible to exhibit oneself more sumptuously”.
